For performing Umrah, there are four specified acts and important prayers for both men and women. Specific guidelines exist for men and women to complete these four tasks properly.
At the designated Miqat (boundary), perform ghusl (full-body purification) or wudu (ablution) if possible.
After the prayer, make the intention (niyyah) for Umrah by reciting:
Allahumma inni uridul 'umrata fa-yassirhu li wa taqabbalhu minni
O Allah! I intend to perform Umrah. Make it easy for me and accept it from me.
Reciting it at least once is obligatory:
Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily, all praise, blessings, and sovereignty are Yours. You have no partner.
Along with Talbiyah, recite the following:
Allahumma inni as'aluka ridaka wal-jannata wa a'udhu bika min ghadabika wan-nar.
O Allah! I seek Your pleasure and Paradise, and I seek refuge with You from Your displeasure and the Hellfire.
When entering Masjid Al-Haram with the intention of performing Umrah, step in with your right foot and recite:

In the name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah. I seek refuge in Allah the Almighty, in His Noble Face, and in His Eternal Power from the accursed Shaytan. O Allah, open the doors of Your mercy for me.
When the Kaaba comes into view, recite the following:

Allahumma anta as-salam wa minkas-salam hayyina Rabbana bis-salam. Allahumma zid haza al-bayta tashrifan wa ta'ziman wa takriman wa mahabatan; wa zid man sharrafahu wa karramahu mimman hajjahu wa'tamara tashrifan wa ta'ziman wa birran.
O Allah, You are peace, and from You comes peace. Keep us alive in peace, O our Lord. O Allah, increase the honor, greatness, dignity, and awe of this House (the Kaaba). And increase the honor and dignity of those who honor and dignify it, from among those who perform Hajj and Umrah, with honor, dignity, greatness, and righteousness.
The second obligatory act of Umrah is performing Tawaf around the Kaaba. Begin at the Hajar Aswad (Black Stone) by kissing it, touching it, or, if that is not possible, standing in line with it and signaling toward it with both hands. Men should perform Iztiba and Ramal, while women proceed normally. Begin Tawaf by reciting this supplication:
Bismillahi Allahu Akbar. Allahumma imanan bika wa tasdiqan bikitabika wa raf'an bi'ahdika wa ittiba'an lisunnati nabiyyika.
In the name of Allah, Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, I believe in You, I affirm the truth of Your Book, I fulfill Your covenant, and I follow the Sunnah of Your Prophet.
While walking between Rukn Al-Yamani and Hajar Aswad, recite this Quranic supplication:
Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban nar.
Our Lord, give us in this world good and in the Hereafter good, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Each circuit is completed upon reaching the Hajar Aswad, and a total of seven circuits completes the Tawaf.
Men should drape their upper garment (shawl) by passing it under the right arm and placing it over the left shoulder, leaving the right shoulder exposed. This signifies strength and readiness. It is a Sunnah practice.
For the first three circuits of Tawaf, men should walk briskly with small, quick steps while swinging their arms slightly. This is also a Sunnah practice.
Note: Iztiba and Ramal are not applicable to women.
After completing Tawaf, it is Sunnah to pray two Rak'ahs of prayer at or near the Maqam Ibrahim (the Station of Ibrahim). A designated area for women is also available for prayer.
Following the prayer, drink Zamzam water, which is available around the Mataf area in coolers or dispensers. Warm Zamzam water is also provided for those sensitive to cold water.
This completes the Tawaf, one of the obligatory acts of Umrah.
After drinking Zamzam water, proceed to climb the Safa Hill. Safa and Marwa are two small hills located near the Kaaba. Reciting, "I begin with what Allah has begun with. Indeed, Safa and Marwa are among the symbols of Allah," you go back and forth between these two hills seven times; this act is called Sa'ee.

Indeed, Safa and Marwa are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs Umrah - there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is Appreciative and Knowing. (Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 158)

As you begin from Safa Hill, you will encounter the "Green Marked Zone", which is specially highlighted with lights. Men should run through this zone, while women can walk at a normal pace.
Recite the following prayer as you pass through the Green Marked Zone:
Rabbighfir warham wa anta al-'Aziz al-Akram.
"My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the Almighty, the Most Honorable."
After crossing the Green Marked Zone, both men and women should continue walking at a normal pace and recite the following Tasbeeh:

"Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and to Allah belongs all praise. O Allah, make faith beloved to us and make disbelief, wickedness, and disobedience hateful to us, and make us among Your righteous servants."
After leaving Safa Hill, proceed to climb Marwah Hill. Once you reach Marwah, you will turn back toward Safa. During this, recite the following prayer:

"Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, and to Allah belongs all praise. There is no god but Allah alone, who fulfilled His promise, aided His servant, and defeated the confederates alone. There is no god but Allah, and we worship none but Him, sincere in His worship, even though the disbelievers may dislike it. O Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the Almighty, the Most Honorable."
When you are returning to Safa Hill, men will walk quickly, and women will walk normally. Recite the prayer as before when you cross the Green Marked Zone:
Rabbighfir warham wa anta al-'Aziz al-Akram.
The Sa'i will be completed after seven rounds of walking between Safa and Marwah. After completing the Sa'i, recite the following prayer:

"Our Lord, accept from us, You are the All-Hearing, All-Knowing. And forgive us, You are the Oft-Returning, the Most Merciful. And may Allahโs blessings be upon His best creation, Muhammad, his family, and companions, and may He have mercy on us with His mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful."
After completing the Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, either shave your head or trim your hair. Women should trim a small portion of their hair to exit the state of Ihram. It is important to note that those performing the Qiran Hajj do not shave their heads. Only those who perform the Tamattu Hajj will shave their heads to exit Ihram. For the Ifrad Hajj, performing Umrah is not required.
May Allah, the Almighty, grant the Muslim Ummah the success to perform Umrah according to the proper way. Ameen.
